Whether you are a professional singer or a beginner vocal warm up exercises should form a part of your daily singing regimen. Warm up exercises help to improve voice quality and strength and to alleviate muscle tension, so its no wonder that most instructors and singers recommend them. You should set aside at least 20 minutes for the warm up session. {Vowel Sounds}: Use different vowel sounds alone or coupled with consonant sounds and sing them across the scale starting low and ending high.

{Tongue Twisters}: Tongue Twisters like ‘ She sells sea shells on the sea shore’ can also be used in warm-up routines. This exercise is very helpful in relieving tension from articulators like the palate, throat, tongue and lips. Once you are comfortable with the tongue twister you can sing it at different pitch levels.
